Use the Display menu described above to select the type of calculation to perform and select the value to calculate by tapping the box to its right.
(Hint: While it is probably a good practise to always make these your first steps when using this form, it can be done at any time - if you forget to select before entering values into the fields you won't have to clear the form and start all over. Electrist will recalculate using the existing values anytime you change the Display setting.)
Write in the two unselected parameters:
- dB: Decibels. The specific type of decibel value will depend on the Display menu setting selected
- P1 or V1: Power (P1) or voltage (V1) in depending on the Display menu setting
- P2 or V2: Power (P2) or voltage (V2) out depending on the Display menu setting
When the values are entered into both of the unselected fields tap the Calc button to display the calculated value. These calculations are valid only when the impedances for the powers or voltages used are identical
